Elise joined the Chamber in August 2022. She provides policy advice on maritime environmental issues, with a particular focus on pollution prevention, marine plastic litter, green ship recycling, air pollution, marine planning and biodiversity conservation. 

Elise holds a BA in Geography and an MPhil in Polar Studies from the University of Cambridge. She has previously held positions at The Arctic Institute as a Research Assistant and at the International Barents Secretariat in Norway working on intergovernmental environmental cooperation. As a member of the Arctic Youth Network and its Ocean Working Group, she is also an advocate for empowering youth engagement in ocean governance and conservation.
