British Tugowners Association - Annual Safety Seminar - 10 November
The Annual Safety Seminar of the British Tugowners Association will be held on Thursday 10 November at the Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) premises in Edinburgh.
The full-day seminar is a practical operational focussed session for all.
This full day seminar will focus on the recovery of persons in the water (PIW) and MOB rescue, culminating with the release of the new BTA produced Guide to Good Practice for PIW Recovery equipment & techniques.
The seminar will examine recent incidents, discuss accident prevention and will hear from tug experts, insurers and investigators. With an audience of tug masters, pilots, marine superintendents, P&I clubs, lawyers and others, the aim is to inform, discuss and share best practice.
The programme remains in development but speaking and sponsorship opportunities are available. Should Members wish to enquire, please contact the BTA Secretary, Robert Merrylees, email@example.com.
All involved in harbour towage and pilotage are strongly encouraged to save the date for this important event. Attendance is free for members of the BTA, Chamber, UKMPA and UKHMA, Workboat Association along with invited guests. Non-member are welcome to join the day for £150.00.
An informal private supper will be held the night before in Edinburgh. For those travelling up the day before and wish to join, please contact Robert Merrylees.
