The UK Chamber of Shipping, in partnership with its Professional and Associate members, is delivering an informative and interactive programme of webinars for its Ship Owner membership.

In partnership with Gard, the first in the webinar series will take place on 24th June and is titled Covid-19: Ripple Effect on Shipping Insurance - the Charterer's Perspective. Senior Lawyer Monica Kohli will host and Terri Jay, Vice President Underwriting, will present this session.

This webinar will discuss the current challenges faced in underwriting and give a few predictions and overview of underwriting and insurance.

The presentation will include:

The secondary effects of COVID-19, including the oversupply of oil and the rush for floating storage; disrupted logistics chains; and some examples of the challenge of shifting of responsibilities between charterers and owners due to COVID-19 restrictions, and what we expect over the coming months.
