Northern Marine announced as a Gold Sponsor as first panel is confirmed for UK Chamber of Shipping Virtual Conference
Northern Marine has been confirmed as a Gold Sponsor for The UK Chamber of Shipping’s first ever Virtual Conference: Creating Pathways to 2030. The Chamber of Shipping has also announced the first set of panellists who will be taking part in the People Session.
The Conference will take place on 11 February and will see industry leaders come together and look at the key challenges facing the UK shipping industry. The morning’s Breakout Sessions will be split into Technology, Safety, People and Environment.
The People Session will involve Mark Stagg (GCNS), Brian Johnson (MCA), Gemma Griffin (DFDS), Phillip Fullerton (Northern Marine) and Colin McMurray (Stream Marine Training).
The focus of the Session will be:
- What skills will be required in 2030 that are fundamentally different to today?
- How can the industry broaden diversity in human resource and skill-base to match the 2030 requirement?
- What will be the major issues in the revision of STCW before 2030?
- Can digitalisation transform crew management by 2030?
